Frequently Asked Questions

Hiring a certified arborist ensures that your trees are cared for by a true professional with the expertise to follow the latest industry practices for safety, health, and tree preservation.

Our crew is led by an ISA Certified Arborist and all our staff has received extensive arboriculture education from either a college (ex. Humber College) or accredited training partners such as Arboriculture Canada.

The best time for pruning depends on the species, but for the majority of trees, it is acceptable to prune them in any season without causing harm.

Some exceptions apply to Oaks and Elms, that can only be pruned in the dormant season (November 1st to March 31st) as they are susceptible to fatal diseases such as Oak Wilt and Dutch Elm Disease.

Fruit trees are also better pruned in late fall or early spring. This reduces stress on the tree and promotes healthy growth.

In many areas within the GTA, a permit is required for tree removal. We can assist with arborist reports and permit applications to ensure compliance with municipal by-laws.

We assess the tree’s health, structural integrity, and potential risks to people or structures. If it poses a danger or is irreparably diseased, removal may be recommended. We rely on our Tree Risk Assessment Qualification to offer an objective and quantitative analysis of the risk associated with each tree.

Yes, we offer emergency tree services for storm damage or other urgent situations. Oftentimes, a failed tree comes with inherited complications and special handling requirements. We prioritize safety and quick response, but some hazardous situations may require special equipment, in which case we would recommend a more suitable tree care company that we trust to complete the work.

We remove all debris, and if requested, we offer stump grinding services. You can choose to keep the wood for firewood or mulch.

We also offer to leave the chips behind for free should you require to amend the soil around your garden beds or mulch your trees.

We recommend tree species that are the best fit for the available space, type of soil, lighting conditions and expected care requirements. For the most part, we will suggest native species as they are more resilient and adapted to our climate.

Each job is unique and we do not have set prices for tree services. Although our rates are quite competitive, you should expect to receive a detailed, itemized free estimate covering every aspect of the work to be performed.

We carry 2$ Million Liability Insurance and all our employees are covered under WSIB (Workplace and Insurance Board). We provide our insurance certificates with each written estimate.
